We were open this weekend with miles of good skiing with some not so good. This afternoon and evening gave us a couple inches of new with some flurries to continue with another 1-2 predicted by afternoon tomorrow. Come Ski. We will be out rolling in the morning.

EPIC. Tomorrow will be one those days where some people, years from now, will sit down with their grandkids and start a story with… It was one of those days. We were at Wilderness Lodge and… It will be one of those days.

Wilderness Lodge will not be open tomorrow/Thursday Jan. 31st. Wind, Cold and a Squall present too much hazard. Friday will be good and Saturday will be better. The Pennsylvania Cross Country Ski Championship will be held Sunday morning. Great event for all skill levels.

Heavy snow and high winds have delivered 2 inches overnight and another 3-4 so far today. We had planned a torch lite night ski, but it is postponed do to falling temperatures and wind. Our wet spots are gone. Everything is being packed and leveled. Track is being set and tomorrow we will have wonderful skiing. Yesterday and today we have visitors from Michigan and Arizona. Good to compare notes with people from other regions. What a great sport!

We did not lose our snow. We had lots of rain then three inches of new snow with more snow coming tonight and tomorrow. The trails were supersaturated so we only groomed a small section and found we were doing more damage than good. So we waited and tomorrow will hit it hard.

Happy to post...The latest storm delivered over a foot of fresh snow over the weekend. Now we can do some of our best work leveling, setting track and wide skate lanes. Our beautiful woods are waiting for you. The Lodge is open Thursday-Sunday. Plan on a torch ski at dusk Friday night.

Quad Ski Race is postponed until Saturday, Feb. 9th. The Lodge had a couple fresh inches overnight with more snow coming Saturday afternoon. The Pennsylvania Championships will be held on the morning of Sunday February 3rd. This event will include 5-10k classic and 10-20k skate races. There will also be a kids fun event. We are pleased to support these two events which are the largest cross country ski events in the Middle Atlantic region. With our network, we can have a diverse, interesting course and still have over 20k of beautiful wooded trails open to the public. More snow coming Saturday...with a potential Blizzard on Sunday.

Thursday, January 17. A inch of fresh snow yesterday afternoon made the woods more beautiful. Both side of the road have been rolled and are open. The coming storm will allow us to start setting tracks. Band Saturday night. Grass fed beef and free range chicken raised on the property in the kitchen. Rooms still available.
