WEB CAM/TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS
The PACCSA WebCam,
providing cross country skiers with up-to-date information on existing
snow conditions at the Laurel Ridge XC Ski Center, is back again this 2007
- 2008 winter season at the Ridge. The setup
remains unchanged, with a picture of the trail near the Lodge taken and
transmitted every hour from dawn to dusk during the late fall and winter
months.
WebCam expenses
are funded totally by PACCSA, and once again this year PACCSA will be
accepting donations.
All donations to
the PACCSA Webcam / Trail Improvement Fund have been and will continue to
be applied to the WebCam upkeep, trail improvements, and assistance with
the expense of maintaining the snowmobile / Tidd Tech G2 groomer (used
extensively at Laurel Ridge). Having this additional groomer definitely
improves the grooming quality and grooming efficiency of the Red, Green,
and Orange trails.
